Improved access to care and developmentally appropriate early learning for girls and boys (3-6 years) and their smooth transition to primary levels. Enhanced awareness on care giving practices for children in 0-3-5 years for their holistic development.


• To aware community people about the services of Anganwadi centers.

• To make Anganwadi workers acquainted with community.


Education is most necessity for children. The main objective of education project is to facilitate completion of ten Years of quality education in schools by all boys and girls through improved access to quality education, enhanced quality of classrooms and increased transition to higher levels of education


We also ensure that protecting from all form of abuse, exploitation, neglect and violence and should have full right to participate in all decision which affects their life. The following are key programme running for ensuring above objectives.


• Improve knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) among children and parents on child abuse, female feticide, child marriages and gender-based violence.

• Promote community based child protection and its effective integration into the state/national child protection system

• Providing opportunity for children and youth groups to choose their own short-term project for their own development

• Promoting rights to access information on various programs


Healthy start of life” started with the objective of Improving access to quality reproductive, maternal, child and adolescent health services that directly benefit 100,000 women (15-49 years), 132,000 adolescents (at least 50% girls) and 60,000 children (under 5 years); especially from the vulnerable and excluded groups in 12 slum and resettlement areas in Delhi and NCR.


Improved access to water, sanitation and hygiene services that directly benefit children and youth from vulnerable and excluded communities in Plan villages and urban slums (50% demonstrating sustained open defecation free status); and additional girls, boys and youth supported through advocacy and policy influence actions.

Training of Different community group members on Wash issues were held at Arrogya Health Clinic on Dec2014 with the objective of awareness in community based groups on ODFC and Community participation and leadership in their issues. We adopted methodology like Group discussion, Chart paper design, Participatory activity, Video shows.


Health has always been one of the core issues. Safe motherhood and childcare are the objectives of healthcare in BVD. It has been running one charitable health clinic ‘Daiichi Sankyo Arogya Health Clinic’ at Rangpuri Pahadi suppoted by Daiichi Sankyo India Pvt. Limit. Where patients avail the health services and medicine at very cheaper rates (medicine 25% of total cost). The organization has also been organizing free health camps in intervention area like; Israel Camp, Sanker Camp, Nalapar, etc.. The organization with support from Govt/MCD health departments supporting in ANC and PNC care along with immunization. More than 700 ANC and PNC care along with 2414 immunization have been facilitated. It has also been promoting institutional delivery.


This project in BVD is for providing age appropriate education and access to opportunity to the girls between of 15-25 years of age within their community. So that they could develop sense of self esteem and self respect. The project will, with the optimum use of technology solutions, will open up a new realm of possibilities for young girls to access learning opportunities while sitting within their communities. We have planned to establish 5 learning centre at Israil Camp, Mahiapalpur, Rajokri, Samalka and Chhattarpur.


The objective of the project is to ensure increased access to opportunities for self development for 5000 girls from 15-25 years as well as sensitizing 17000 families on the issue of girl’s education and safety in Delhi.


In 2014-15, Under Sehchar Programme, Bal Vikas Dhara with the help of Alliance of Animal and People(AAP), spread awareness and sensitized community specially children regarding dogs so that behavior of people could change for animal specially for dogs.Bal Vikas Dhara(BVD) provided soil pots in different place as to people could provide food and water to street dogs.

• Bal Vikas Dhara awares community by different activities about rabies disease and how to get off from this disease.

• This year BVD has surveyed of dogs in Dwarka Sector-7 and Dwarka Sector-1 for reimplementation of Sehchar Programme.

• Immunization of dogs and check-up of ill dogs with the help of Sunadhi Organization.

• Networking with other NGOs, animal specialist, animal Hospital and MCD etc.


During the developmental activities from the marginalized section of the Kusumpur Pahadi and Shankar camp BVD has realized the importance of women empowerment for the child development. We are running two Mahila Panchyats with the support of Delhi Commission for women; one is in Kusumpur Pahadi and another in Shankar Camp Rangpuri Pahadi. The main objective to run Mahila Panchyat is to raise the issues of women and empower them. Through this program we identify the cases of violence against women and register the cases in Mahila Panchyat and try to solve the cases by discussion in Mahila Panchyat. We held the counselling sessions for the victims and provide legal advices to them. We conducted weekly meetings of Mahila Panchyats in which the cases of violence were discussed. Through the community meeting we spared legal awareness in the community.


The project area comprised of Srai kale khan, Nizammudin, Ashram, Okhla Tank, Sarita Vihar, khaddar, ICD Okhla, Allimorre, Badarpur are high income area. Currently 649 MSMs were identified and registered in project invention. Category wise distribution of the informants is double decure(168), Kothi(481). As per master register, We Came to know about HRGs category, the factors responsible for entering the HRGs into sex trade, condom usage, Hotspots, etc.

Project Objectives :-

• To bring a behavior change in MSM by promoting safe sexual health practices and health seeking behavior.

• To reduce STI infection by 10% per year.

• To prevent HIV/AIDS among target Group.

Bal Mitr Gram

Innovative model changing mind sets & social norms, empowering communities/children with knowledge of rights; building leadership among children/youth to advocate for their own child protection, education, health.

This is done successfully through:- :-

• Creating legitimate democratic space for children and ensuring their active participation to influence the decision making process locally through democratic institution of children called Bal Panchayat.

• Intense mobilization and involvement of local community, particularly youth and women.

• Major objectives are to make villages child labour free where every child is in school, aware about their rights, free from exploitation and access to their entitlements.

Tetrapack Project

Bal Vikas Dhara (BVD) has taken initiative of livelihood enhancement for rag pickers both for women and men for improving their economic condition and helping in sending their children to government/Private Schools to abolish child labour. For 4 years, BVD has been working for thousands of waste picker workers to aware them about collecting tetra pack cartoon like; juice pack, milk tetra pack, oil packet, from roads side and recycled them. Because of this Road, Complex Gullies, Market etc become clean and which prevent environment degradation.

In Delhi /NCR both we are working to improving livelihood, Education, Healthy life through health care for Rag picker’s and safe environment, pollution, collection of tetra pack cartoon’s for new packaging for safety of food item’s, New products , Rag of Rag pickers lifestyle , tetra pack cartoons collection through Awareness, Workshop, Health camp’s Community meetings, Group discussions, IEC materials’, Face to face interaction with Rag pickers, Paryavran mitra and networking etc.

Smart Vocational Training centre

BVD SMART Center established in Oct 2016 to provide industry oriented high quality vocational education to youth from marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society. The duration of training period is for 4 months .The SMART Center has a well-equipped center with the course curriculum and content to meet their current and emerging needs of Youth.Bal Vikas Dhara. Employs and faculty with good industry experience and passionate for training to the youth. Our popular programs of the academy are, CRS (Retail). Apart from the chosen vocational skill training; all students are getting training in basic computer application, English language and personality development. Currently we are running SMART center in Samalka, New Delhi-37 under the banner of Tech Mahindra foundation. SMART-Center Smalka has 4 batches in CRS,

The students will learn the theory and practical at the institute for 4 months, and the in this period they will go for industrial Exposure visit at the Retail Outlets, Malls, and Companies to gain exposure to real time environment. And after 4 months completion of the training they will be placed on Retail outlets & Companies
